Robert Rotenberg
In his more than 28 years at the bar, Robert has done every type of criminal case, as he likes to say ‘everything from shoplifting to murder.’ He believes that from the moment a new client contacts him, he must be there to help. He insists on meeting right away - day or night, weekday or weekend. He’s very hands on. He’s always there for his clients.
In recent years, Robert has turned much of his focus to domestic assault charges. He works closely with many family lawyers to insure his clients get both the best advice and well-coordinated legal representation. He believes that many of these conflicts hurt the children the most and always keeps their best interest front and centre. Using his patient and caring approach, he’s achieved great success for his clients, most of whom he keeps in touch with for many years.
Robert also works closely with victims of domestic abuse, guiding them through the court system and insuring their personal safety. As well, he is often hired by people in marriage or relationship breakdown situations who fear they might be charged. Robert counsels them on taking the important steps to avoid arrest.
Robert’s practice is backed by a team of top professionals - psychologists, therapists, drug and alcohol counsellors, anger management specialists, private investigators and more - ready to jump in to assist at a moment’s notice. Many of his former clients are glad to help out, meeting with clients to give them advice and support.
Robert is a graduate of University of Toronto, Osgoode Hall Law School and the London School of Economics, from which he has an LLM. He often gives seminars to family lawyers instructing them on better ways to work with his firm dealing with criminal law situations that arise for their clients.
Robert is also the author of five best-selling novels, a screenwriter and a frequent public speaker. See: robertrotenberg.com
