Defence lawyers offer free advice to alleged Jian Ghomeshi victims

An interview with RSJLAW lawyers Alvin Shidlowski, and Jacob Jesin, teaming up with criminal law colleague Marcy Segal in a collaborative effort to offer free #probono legal assistance to any complainants who come forward in the #JianGhomeshi matter.

Segal has teamed up with partners Alvin Shidlowski and Jacob Jesin to offer legal assistance.

“By offering people who are prepared to make allegations an opportunity to have legal representation, it might in some fashion remove the inherent fear that they may have of being re-victimized through the process,” Shidlowski said on Thursday. “Our legal system doesn’t work if people are afraid.”
